Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p (/vi̘s/ /j̼i̘p/ [officer] [extreme; intense; radical]) is a temperate Large City located in Velata County, G̈îmëqe Provence, within the Daland.
The name Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p is derived from the Sylvin language, as Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p was founded by Runo, who was culturaly Tauran.
Climate
Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p has a yearly average temperature of 25°C (77°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 28°C (82°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 23°C (73°F). Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p receives an average of 154 cm/y (60 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p covers an area of nearly 67 km2 (26 mi2), and an average elevation of 4514 m (14809 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p was founded durring the late 14th century in fall of the year 1261, by Runo. The establishment of Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Runo struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p as a prison colony.
Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p was built using the conventions of Tauran durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature timber and earth construction, with most buildigns first floors resembling mounds of earth, with subsequent floors appearing as elaborate log cabins, with each building forming a tiered pyramid of sorts fromed from the stack of rectangular, peek roofed cabins. Most wooden bracing, support, and trim is carved with decorative knotwork, and the larger structures even feature painted trim which emphasises the knotwork.
Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of crampt cobblestone streets which form octogonal paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The city is defended by arcane means. It's hard to spot at first, but there's a tell tell shimmer in the air arround Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p, and you can spot the ocasional warding glyph carved into a rock or tree all arround town. These mystical defences are ancient, unknowable, and unassailable by current means... Assuming everything is in working order. Otherwise, the wards are little more than a deathtrap. Unfortuantly, these Relic of the World That Was are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.
Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p has the unmistakable air of a city on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p ’s existence was once fed by scholarly pursuits. But the income once drawn in by the works of scribes and academics has dried up and the city is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. Everywhere about the city one can see abandoned schools, libraries, and other academic structures. Locals can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear the city places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual. Even in these times.

They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p's natural decorations nor waterways.
Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p has a Guild of Roadworkers, who are responsible for maintaining the roadways and public paths within town. They also have the duty of enforcing all civil laws relating to the roadways.
Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.
Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.
Cultural Notes
A substantial minority of the locals are descended from foreigners alien to their local neighbors. They may have been religious exiles, economic migrants, indigenous locals surrounded by the existing polity, or a foreign settlement conquered within the relatively recent past. The locals may not be enthusiastic about being ruled by others not of their kind, and their neighbors may look askance at the way foreign customs or even laws may be maintained.
Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used embraces individualism and experimentation. It emerged as a movement against traditional, classical styles and sought to make buildings dynamic and fun while breaking the rules. The style incorporated elements of previous architectural styles in exaggerated and whimsical ways. Traditional, conservative leanings were void in this era, with most scholars of architecture agreeing it was a time of “anything goes.”.

The Serpentfolk near Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.
Boke Vi̊sy̼i̊p's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves sex to channel Abjuration energies of tier 2 via singing.
